ALFRED is an agent-based modeling tool which allows Rugby plays to be simulated, demonstrated and experimented with.
The tool lets you design moves from set pieces, and then play them out.
The behaviour of opposition players (agents) is represented, to allow you to see how well the move works against various defensive systems.
This is done by using intelligent agents, which are capable of deciding for themselves how to behave.
Consequently, the moves can play out slightly differently each time, just as occurs in real rugby games.
