FUTUREMATH Ltd
We are constantly building knowledge and experimenting with new analysis ideas and techniques.
Science is a passion and it drives innovation.
Some of our interests are described below, or in more detail on the links to the left. If these topics are of interest to you, we would welcome coming to talk.
Agent-based Models: We research and develop new types of agent-based models. Some of our research is focused on how to frame models and make them useful for practical applications, other aspects look at new techniques for modeling problems and how multifractal analysis can be combined with this to improve realism and have a better understanding of the systems involved.
Multifractal Analysis: We are local experts in the application of multifractal techniques to analyse time series data. As such we have developed models to describe several systems, including the share, currency and electricity markets, and weather patterns.
Body language/non-verbal expressions: We have been looking at whether non-verbal expressions such as Dr Paul Ekman's microexpressions can be characterised using analysis schemes and software in the same way that one might analyse a sports game.
Influence and Persuasion: We are studying how persuasive factors combine to influence populations, primarily using agent-based models.
